For those who don’t know what Pepakura is: it’s making paper or card models with 3-Demential data. For instance, you could use a 3D model, put that into a program called ‘Pepakura Designer’ and it will break your model into segments that will allow you to print it out and stick it all together… sound fun? Apart from being very tedious and time consuming I quite enjoy doing it. In my spare time over the last few months I’ve made a ‘Spartan’ helmet from the game ‘HALO’, a fully painted ‘Iron-man’ helmet and a (close to full-size) AK47. Reading that back, it makes me sound like a real geek.
Anyway, I’ve just came across something cool:
I don’t know whether its the usual urge (that I’ve had since I’ve been old enough to hold scissors) to make something or the fact that I’ve had this love/hate relationship with the Les Paul Guitar for years, that I really want to make this. There’s something about the crisp white (if done right) model you get from pepakura that sets it apart from other methods.
